I finally got the resolve to record my first song - Kanda Naal Mudhal from the movie Kanda Naal Mudhal...a very melodious and close-to-carnatic-music song.
Thanks a lot to Anand for helping me with the mixing and for making this lazy girl do this :D

@kuttichuvaru - Thanks! Ya, I have learnt carnatic when I was in school :D And the karaoke , I got it from the original song using the 'Voice Cut' effect..adhaan it is not that good.

Superb singing Janani. The karaoke seems to be not so good, but your voice sound really good.
Good effort Jan. hmmm.. If you practice a bit you can sing the brihas even better.

Beautiful song. Amazing voice.
Just a suggestion.. for creating Karaoke out of original song, try GoldWave, you will need to play around a bit with the channel cancellation volume and bandstop filter volume, but it does a great job at removing vocals.
Or simpler would be to just get the Midi file of the song by Googling.

Thanks for your comment. One suggestion. I started with castpost like you and ended up having a tough time playing songs. It takes way too long to buffer at times. I switched to soundclick and it worked fine. And its free. Give it a shot.

Good voice...but oversimplified...You need to work on the bhrigas...so far from the original...good start but long way to go
